Coopah Raises £1.5M to Expand Personalized Training and Mental Health Impact, It is an AI-driven run coaching app founded in 2022, has secured a new funding round of £1.5 million to accelerate its mission of supporting runners worldwide. The round attracted investment from prominent figures including professional athlete Alistair Brownlee MBE and sports agent Ricky Simms, emphasizing Coopah’s growing influence in fitness and tech.

With this funding, Coopah aims to enhance its core AI features, enabling smarter, more adaptive, and socially connected training plans to help runners of all levels stay consistent. By providing personalised training plans, real-time workout feedback, and community-driven support, the app tackles a significant challenge: over half of new runners drop out within a month of starting. Coopah’s innovative use of AI is designed to reverse this trend by offering motivation and guidance to keep users engaged and progressing. New CMO Appointment As part of its expansion, Coopah has brought on Gareth Nettleton as Chief Marketing Officer. Nettleton, formerly with Strava, was instrumental in helping the platform grow to over 100 million registered athletes. Now, he brings his expertise to Coopah to expand its reach and impact. “Running is medicine for both body and mind,” he said, highlighting Coopah’s commitment to addressing global physical and mental health challenges through the accessible and transformative power of running. Strategic Growth and Future Plans With backing from Redrice Ventures, Active Partners, and London Marathon Events, Coopah is positioned for substantial growth.

The app, which is already the official training partner of the TCS London Marathon, will use the new funding to improve its AI-driven coaching technology, making it more flexible and socially engaging for its users. Coopah’s annual subscription is available for £79.99, or monthly at £14.99, on both the App Store and Google Play.
